Our Team

Bridget Hollingsworth, Practice Manager

Bridget started at Carter Pet Hospital in the summer of 2007, less than a year after the clinic opened. She started as a receptionist and worked her way up to her current position. She has now been the Practice Manager since 2011. Bridget has her BA in Communications from Lindenwood University and plans to get her Master’s in the future.

Bridget was drawn to the Veterinary field because of her passion for people and animals. She has always had a strong desire to advocate for animals who cannot speak for themselves. She also has an enthusiasm for helping develop team members, both personally and professionally.

She is a St. Charles County native and has lived in O’Fallon since 1999. Bridget mostly enjoys time with her family, friends, and pets. She has a small dog pack, including Penelope, The Chihuahua Princess; Pushkin, The Therapy Pomeranian; and Betsie, the Maniac Yorkie. She also has a loving and shy Calico kitty, Gypsy. Bridget and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors in their pool.

Her favorite thing about the Veterinary field? Wagging tails!

Amy Robertson, RVT, Technician Supervisor

Amy Robertson, RVT, Technician Supervisor

Amy has her Associates Degree in Applied Science and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She graduated in 2006 from Jefferson College. Amy started working in the field in 2000 and has been a team member at Carter since 2007. She quickly became a Technician manger after starting and excels in her technical skills.

Amy lives in Curryville where she raises California Red Sheep on the family farm. Aside from her sheep, her pets include two adorable donkeys, lots of barn cats, Garfield (the cat), Copper (the dachshund), and Archimedes (a lab mix). Aside from working with her sheep, Amy also loves to work in the garden, read, and do puzzles.

Amy has a special knack for assisting with the more challenging aspects of the job. She is frequently able to calm aggressive patients or get an IV catheter in the most difficult vein. She can often be found assisting clients in understanding and caring for their pets with chronic illnesses.

Her favorite that about pets? Their unconditional love!

Elizabeth Prager, Front Office Manager

Elizabeth has been part of the Carter Pet Hospital team since 2016. She has her Associates Degree in Animal Science and joined the team originally as a receptionist. Since then she has worked every position at Carter Pet Hospital, spending a large portion of her time as a Technician and has now been the Front Office Manager for two years.

She loves spending time with friends and family. She spends most of her time with her husband, Ryan, her daughter Sydney, and her dog Remi (who makes sure to eat Sydney’s leftovers). They enjoy watching Netflix, playing games, and getting outside.

Elizabeth had the wonderful experience of volunteering at the St. Louis Zoo for two years. When asked what drew her to the veterinary field, she explained, “The Zoo Alive program inspired me to enter the field. I am fascinated with the body, how organs work, and diseases. Also, dogs are cool.”

What brings her the most joy in the field? Dog Smiles!
